PhotoFlare provides a simple, cheap and effective way of processing digital photos. It comes with a good number of editing tools, for basic visual adjustments. Despite its simple appearance, the software uses the latest C++ standards, which give it a significant boost in terms of performance. It is an excellent alternative for anyone who wishes to make some last minute adjustments on their photos.

PhotoFlare is free and it comes in a paid version as well. It is available for all modern Windows, Mac OS X and Linux systems. Installing the software shouldn't take more than a minute, even on older machines, and it doesn't involve any complicated configurations. Also, there is no need to install any prerequisite tools or services.

The software lets you load multiple images on the same user interface, on separate tabs. Once you have one or more images loaded, you can start working on them, using the available tools above the main editing area and on the right side of the window. They are basic options, for increasing or decreasing the brightness, contrast or luminosity, sharpening the image, tweaking colors and other simple actions.

More tools can be found in the top menus. You can use them to make hue variations, add effects filters and you can even set up automatic batch operations. The software can be set to convert, resize, add filters and perform other actions on multiple images in a single run. Regardless of what you intend to do, you should have no trouble finding and using the necessary tools.

When it comes to last minute adjustments on digital photos, you can save precious time with PhotoFlare.

Pros

The software places a good number of tools at your disposal. They are well organized and easy to use. It is available for all major operating systems and it can be installed in under a minute.

Cons

The software's functionality may not satisfy advanced users.
